FAQ

What is an LED?

LED is the common abbreviation for a light-emitting diode. Each individual LED consists of a semiconductor diode that emits light when a voltage is applied to it. The electronics industry has used LED technology for several decades as indicator lights for various electronic devices. In more recent years, LED technology has progressed to the point where it is viable for general lighting applications. Please check the following website for more information.

What are LEDs and how do they work?

LEDs or Light Emitting Diodes are a form of semi-conductor. They do not have the gas filled chambers or lighting filaments associated with conventional lamp types. When you pass a current through the LED it results in the required outcome of light or electroluminescence. Eneltec LEDs present many advantages over conventional light sources including lower energy consumption, longer lifetime, improved robustness, smaller size, faster switching and greater durability and reliability.

What are the advantages of LED?

A. Optical Efficiency: spectrum almost all concentrated in the visible light frequency, efficiency can reach 80% -90%. And the luminous efficiency of incandescent is only with almost 10%-20% visible light efficiency.
B. High-quality Light: as a result that there is no ultraviolet and infrared of spectrum, there is no heat, no radiation, and is typically green lighting.
C. Small Energy Consumption: single-power general in the 0.05-1w, through the cluster can be tailored to meet different needs, and waste little. As the light source, in the same brightness, it's power consumption can be only 1/8-10 of ordinary incandescent.
D. Long life: flux attenuation to 70% of the standard life expectancy is 100,000 hours. A semiconductor lamp can be used under normal circumstances 50 years, even if the long life of the people, lives up to it with two lights.
E. Durable and Reliable: No tungsten wire, glass and other easily damaged components, few non-normal retirement rate, and with very low maintenance costs.
F. Flexibility of Application: small size, can flat pack, easy to develop into a short thin products, and can make various forms such as point, line, face of specific applications.
G. Security: working voltage is 1.5-5v or less in between ,and the current is 20-70mA in between.
H. Green: The waste can be recycled and of no pollution. Unlike fluorescent lamps that contains mercury as ingredients.
I. Short Response Time: can adapt to frequent switching and high-frequency operating occasions.
